Job Description

Title: General Manager-Finance in SSA

Reporting Manager- Regional Financial Controller

Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai

1. Purpose of the Job

  • The role of Finance Manager requires a strong focus on strategic financial oversight, compliance, and decision-making that directly impacts statutory reporting, tax, and audit outcomes.
  • SSA is an HQ entity where accounting treatments and compliance are the primary priorities.

2. Key Responsibilities & Assignments

Financial Planning & Performance Management

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and target consolidation across SG&A functions.
  • Perform big file analysis (Actual vs Budget/Target) and drive insights
  • Manage landing forecasts and long-term view adjustments (TA true-up)
  • Support business functions in financial planning
  • Prepare and review flash reports and performance dashboards

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
  • Manage HFM reporting, including:
  • HFM controls and validations
  • Webforms and tax reporting in HFM
  • Oversee target, forecast, and reporting consistency with Group requirements

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead statutory audit and internal audit processes, including:
  • Preparation of all audit schedules and supporting workings
  • Finalization of audit deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with XBRL and regulatory filings (liaison with external advisors e.g. Dentons)
  • Oversee accounting policy changes from Group and ensure proper implementation
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards

Tax Management (Singapore tax)

  • Manage end-to-end tax compliance and reporting, including:
  • ECI, tax audit, and tax submissions
  • Provisional income tax and deferred tax computations
  • Dividend calculations
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on tax reporting and reconciliations

Treasury, Banking & Investments

  • Oversee banking relationships and transactions, including admin rights
  • Manage loan-related activities and investment accounting (e.g. loan)
  • Review and control cash flow-related activities and financial obligations, half yearly Cash flow budgeting review.

Operational Finance Oversight

  • Review accounting entries and schedules prepared by team members
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of:
  • Schedules and reconciliations
  • Supporting reports
  • Act as final reviewer and control point for finance deliverables

Systems, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Lead process implementation and continuous improvement initiatives, including:
  • System upgrades
  • Excel template standardization
  • Drive automation initiatives: Implementation of New ERP
  • Strengthen data integrity and reporting efficiency

Stakeholder Management & Support

  • Act as key contact for stakeholders (SSA, APAC, MEA, SBS)
  • Handle and resolve business and compliance queries
  • Support cross-functional teams on financial matters
  • Liaise with legal and external parties on:
  • Agreements
  • Confirmations
  • Reconciliations

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, governance standards, and risk frameworks
  • Oversee documentation and compliance for shared services (SBS)
  • Support implementation of group policies and regulatory requirements

3. Experience & Qualifications


Experience and Qualifications:

  • CA with 1015 years of experience, with strong expertise in financial reporting, audit, tax, and treasury.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-regional stakeholders and lead finance teams, with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on approach with deep involvement in closing, reporting, and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems (HFM, Tagetik, ERP) and driven in automation, process improvement, and governance compliance

Technical/ Hard Skills:

  • Lead the yearly technical assistance true up process aligning with GSA, tax and Global through long view tools.
  • General transfer pricing knowledge is required to perform the task
