Azure DevOps Engineer Microsoft Fabric & Power BI
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of handson experience supporting Microsoft Fabric and Power BI in enterprise environments. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, analytics operations, and cost governance, ensuring that Fabric and Power BI workloads are reliable, secure, performant, and financially controlled. The ideal candidate has strong Azure DevOps fundamentals, understands Fabric capacity behavior, and can operationalize Power BI and Fabric workloads at scale, not just build pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Azure DevOps & CI/CD
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for:
- Power BI reports and semantic models
- Fabric artifacts (Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Notebooks where applicable)
- Automate:
- Workspace promotion across environments (Dev / UAT / Prod)
- Parameterization, secrets management, and environmentspecific configuration
- Enforce source control best practices (branching, PRs, code reviews)
Microsoft Fabric Platform Operations
- Manage and monitor Fabric capacities (FSKUs) including:
- Capacity sizing and scaling
- Pause / resume strategies
- Understanding CU consumption, smoothing, and overages
- Support Fabric workloads across:
- Data Factory (Pipelines)
- Lakehouse / Warehouse
- Spark (operationally, not data sciencefocused)
- Work with architects to implement costefficient Fabric patterns
Power BI Operations & Governance
- Deploy and manage Power BI content in Fabricbacked workspaces
- Support:
- Semantic model refresh reliability
- Deployment pipelines
- XMLAbased operations where applicable
- Enforce governance controls:
- Workspace structure and access
- RLS / objectlevel security support
- Dataset ownership and refresh policies
Monitoring, Reliability & Cost Management
- Monitor platform health using:
- Fabric Capacity Metrics
- Azure Monitor / Log Analytics (where applicable)
- Proactively identify:
- Throttling risks
- Refresh failures
- Capacity saturation and cost anomalies
- Partner with engineering and analytics teams to resolve incidents and improve stability
Security & Compliance
- Implement secure DevOps practices:
- Managed identities
- Key Vault integration
- Leastprivilege RBAC
- Support audit and compliance requirements (SOC2, ISOaligned controls where applicable)
Required Experience & Skills
Core Requirements
- 2+ years of handson experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI in production
- 3+ years of Azure DevOps / cloud DevOps experience
- Strong experience with:
- Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML)
- Gitbased source control
- Azure RBAC and service principals
- Working knowledge of:
- Fabric capacity billing and CU behavior
- Power BI deployment pipelines
- Refresh orchestration and failure recovery
Technical Skills
- Azure services (core):
- Azure DevOps
- Azure Monitor
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Storage
- Scripting & automation:
- PowerShell and/or Python
- REST APIs (Power BI / Fabric where applicable)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, data, and analytics platforms
NicetoHave Experience
- Exposure to Direct Lake and Fabricnative architectures
- Cost optimization experience in analytics platforms
- Familiarity with regulated or financial services environments
Note :-
Shift- 1pm-10pm
Work Enviorment- 5 working days from office
